Here are the OSCar eO at the 2011 Dakar Rally. The OSCar eO is an electrified monster. Latvia’s OSCar has decided that it’s time for the first plug-in hybrid to tackle the grueling rally. Powered by a permanent magnet motor that cranks out up to 315 kW (422 horsepower) and 590 pound-feet of torque. The eO’s top speed, an underwhelming 86 miles per hour, isn’t likely be an issue since it won’t be competing against the conventionally-fueled entries.
